Super Session: Why 9-1-1, CAD, records and mobile are becoming one

We're excited to announce the Wednesday morning Super Session "Why 9-1-1, CAD, records and mobile are becoming one" by Jeff Robertson, a noteworthy public safety consultant.

Is your agency still dispatching the closest unit? Is this the best way to deal with that specific call for service? In this detailed session Mr. Robertson will cover the recent software trends in public safety and explain why most end-users of agencies of all sizes are moving towards a “work-flow” based model for dispatch, records, court and investigative work of public safety functions. Agency funding pressures are requiring all stakeholders in emergency response to re-look at how they implement technology. The 9-1-1, CAD and RMS budget’s and decision makers are coming together to find a more cost effective, integrated solution. This controversial discussion will explain trends pointing to the death of standalone 9-1-1 solutions and why CAD will take over most traditional 9-1-1 telephony functions and overtime RMS will take over most traditional CAD dispatch and 9-1-1 functions. An example of how these trends are playing out as well as in-depth audience participation is encouraged. At the end of this session you will look at PSAP and dispatch technology in a whole new way.
