New Technology Makes for Quicker Response Time By Police
Richelle McGinnis, reporting
Thanks to new technology Minneapolis police is able to cut their response time by almost two minutes.
The latest numbers show that there is less to complain about.
In the spring of 2007, it took police an average of 10 minutes and 11 seconds to get to a scene. This year, response time was eight minutes and 33 seconds.
That's a savings of 1 minute and 38 seconds which is potentially enough to save a life or catch a criminal.
The quicker times are thanks in part to a new computer aided dispatch system.
