Denver 9-1-1's Remote Operation Center

Planning and preparation for the 2008 Democratic National Convention (DNC) brought about another milestone for Denver 9-1-1: the launch of its state-of-the-art Remote Operation Center, also known as “the ROC.” Carl Simpson, executive director of Denver 9-1-1, provided insights into deploying Denver 9-1-1’s new 4,200-square-foot backup disaster communications center just 4 miles from the primary PSAP before hosting the 2008 Democratic National Convention.
