Allen City Council Approves Contract with TriTech Software Systems for New Public Safety System
TriTech to provide comprehensive new public safety solutions for the police and fire departments of one of America’s safest cities

March 30, 2009 - TriTech Software Systems proudly announces that it has been awarded a contract to provide a comprehensive new public safety solution for the City of Allen, Texas. TriTech will be implementing its VisiNet enterprise solution of VisiNet Command computer-aided dispatch, VisiNet Mobile data application and VisiNet Law RMS law enforcement records management for the city’s police and fire departments.

The City of Allen, recognized in the top ten of America’s safest cities through a national review of city crime rankings, developed an extensive five year master plan to address how information technology will support the City’s effective delivery of services to its citizens. As part of that plan, it was identified that the City had outgrown its current CAD/RMS systems. Under the guidance of eGov consulting services, the City of Allen’s technology committee along with police and fire representatives began the bid process which took approximately 18 months developing the RFP requirements, reviewing proposals and receiving product demonstrations.

To provide our police supervisors in the field with better control over their units, TriTech will make enhancements to VisiNet Mobile to enable them to assign and redistribute units. The seamless integration of the new systems will improve the workflow and information routing to all departments and streamline our operations with a single point of data entry. Every division of public safety and our Allen citizens will receive direct benefits of adopting our new technologies as we continue our work to provide progressive and efficient emergency management.”

TriTech’s VisiNet Enterprise solution of VisiNet Command, VisiNet Mobile and VisiNet Law RMS addresses nearly every area of public safety command and control. The computer-aided dispatch solution of VisiNet Command provides tools to assist communication center operators to efficiently manage incidents and resources to enhance emergency response. VisiNet Mobile data solution bridges the communication gap between dispatch and the field by providing real-time access to CAD, RMS, CJIS and other public/proprietary database to fire and police personnel in the field. At the police department, VisiNet Law RMS will increase efficiencies by automating administrative record procedures and providing single point of entry for records.

To complete the comprehensive solution, TriTech will provide system integration and project management in partnership with its subcontractors: ACS will provide their Firehouse fire records management software; Emerald Systems will provide their SENTINEL jail and facility management software; The Omega Group will provide their Crime View crime analysis software; Orion Communications will provide their AgencyWeb software; mobile hardware and implementation services provided by Portable Computer Systems.
