Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Billing is a specialized area of medical billing that focuses on documenting and billing for EMS, primarily ambulance transport services. While virtually all medical billing deals with coding claims and billing via specialized forms or through electronic data interchange, EMS Billing presents some unique challenges which require software specialization for the industry.
